We are seeking a skilled IBM Informix Developer/Administrator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management, development, and optimization using IBM Informix. You will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and enhancing our Informix database systems to ensure high performance and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with IBM Informix.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and database optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures.
  • Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Trello, or Asana.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins or other automation tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Informix database solutions to meet business needs.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Perform regular backups, restorations, and data migrations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application database needs.
  • Implement security measures and best practices for data protection.
  • Document database processes, configurations, and updates.
